The weather has been inconsistent in the past days, sometimes alternating from hot, cold and rainy days. But just because it’s cold, hot or rainy doesn’t mean style should be compromised.
Ateneo fashion has been constantly changing due to the weather, when it comes to those cold rainy days, students take out their long sleeve jackets, cardigans and the like. Although most classrooms in Ateneo are not air-conditioned, it can still get as cold brought about by the constant cold winds. With the cold weather, students still try to be fashionable on the choice of clothes and accessories they wear. The most typical cold weather accessories are the jackets and cardigans, but some people skip the jacket and
wear long sleeves shirts. The only con with that choice is that the weather isn’t constant, it might be rainy during the morning and it can look like a good idea, but once the sun shines in the afternoon, you better get ready to sweat. Nonetheless it’s a fashion choice.
Once the sun shines, the jackets are off and sunglasses are on. The ongoing trend for sun shining outfits for girls are floral dresses or short skirts, while for man, the ever reliable shorts. The best accessory for these types of days is ultimately the sunglasses. Also, slippers are unanimously worn by girls. Because once it’s sunny in Ateneo, expect it to be really hot. People then tend to show more skin, if possible. Girls switch from shoes to slippers, pants to dresses, shirts to strapless. While guys switch from pants to short and long sleeves to short sleeves.
Just remember, to survive the Ateneo weather, always bring an umbrella and a jacket. It has been really hard to tell whether it will rain or shine. But remember, the weather shouldn’t compromise your fashion, cause there’s always the right clothes for the right time.
